In the district Las Pirias, on the province of Jaen, lies the farm Los Romerillos. The Farm is run by Victor and his wife Lindaura. This 3 hectare farm grows celebrated varietals of Gesha, Caturra, and Catimor. While all lower yeilding varietals, this ensure that Victor and Lindaura can produce higher quality coffee for the specialty coffee market.
While only transitioning into producing specialty coffee in 2017, His passion and commitment for results can be tasted in the end result, your cup.
Victor and Lindaura feel very blessed to have access to a farm at such high altitude (1800 + masl) abundant with such rich and fertile soils. A combination that yeilds cleaner, more vibrant, fruit forward coffee, all while having no need for pest management due to the elevation.
This coffee is naturally processed in a solar tent for 25 days before depulping and drying to a stable moisture content.
This coffee is the perfect example of why coffees from Peru are so celebrated, and in the spirit of this industry, like all of us, he promises to keep getting better each day, each harvest, as long as we continue to drink and celebrate his work and effort at origin.
